Add Hello Clever to Tyro POS

Link your Tyro POS terminals to Hello Clever to run instant cashback campaigns in your physical store and manage them from the Merchant Dashboard.

This page explains how to integrate Hello Clever with your Tyro POS terminals. You create a Payments Account for your business in the Merchant Dashboard, selecting Tyro as your planned integration type, then add your store’s Tyro Location ID and address details. Once linked, Hello Clever can run instant cashback campaigns for in-store customers who pay through your Tyro terminals, which you manage from the Merchant Dashboard.

Prerequisite

Before starting the integration, you need:

• A Tyro Merchant ID.
• To send your Merchant ID to the Hello Clever support team so they can activate the integration on their side.

The integration will not work until Hello Clever support confirms that your Tyro Merchant ID has been activated. Contact support before proceeding with the steps below.

Create a Tyro Payments Account

1. Create a Payments Account in the Merchant Dashboard

   Log in to your Hello Clever Merchant Dashboard and click the + Create account button in the top-right corner.

2. Review the Payments Account benefits

   On the Create account screen, review what this Payments Account gives you: accept card and local payments, send payouts to beneficiaries seamlessly, and unlock Clever AI Insights and loyalty campaigns.

3. Fill out the account form

   Complete the form fields:

   • Currency: the currency configured for this account (read-only).
   • Account name: your registered account name (read-only).
   • Account nickname: a label to help you identify this account (for example, Payment Account 2).
   • Account image: click Browse to upload a logo or store image. The maximum file size is 2MB.
   • Planned integration type: open the dropdown and select Tyro.
   • POS provider (optional): select your point-of-sale provider if applicable (for example, Square, Vend, MYOB Kounta, Revel Systems, or Hike POS).

   When the form is complete, click Next.

   Set the Planned integration type to Tyro so the account is configured for your in-store terminals.

4. Enter your shop locations

   On the Please enter your shop locations screen, fill in the details for your first location:

   • Shop name: enter a name for this location.
   • Tyro location ID: enter the location ID for your Tyro terminal. If you don’t know it, click See how to get Tyro location ID for instructions.
   • Shop address: provide the full physical address of your store, or use the location icon to detect it automatically. Use the optional Apt, Unit, Floor, Etc field for any additional address details.

   Use + Add postal address if you need to add a separate postal address for this location.

5. Add multiple locations (if required)

   If your business has more than one physical location, click + Add location to include each additional site. Fill in the shop name, Tyro location ID, and shop address for each location; the Total location count updates as you add sites.

6. Complete the setup

   Once you have added all locations, click Create Payments Account to finalise the setup.

7. Confirm the cashback campaign

   After successfully creating your Payments Account, you will see a confirmation message indicating that a cashback campaign has been created for your business. Click View details to review the campaign, or return to Site management to manage all your sites.

Manage cashback campaigns

After linking your Tyro site, you can monitor and manage your cashback campaigns from the Cashback campaigns section of the Hello Clever Merchant Dashboard.

From this section you can:

• View all active cashback campaigns
• Check campaign start and end times
• Review total cashback data for each campaign

If you need to adjust cashback percentages or campaign dates, make those changes from the Cashback campaigns section in the Merchant Dashboard before communicating the offer to your customers.
